VOICE OF THE VOICELESS: The present Nigeria

   
        It has always been an adage that ' only God drives away the flies for the tailless cow' . Going through the predicament of the poor who are the voiceless , these are the people that have nobody to charge their course in times of need. The leg of the legless, eye of the eyeless and the soul of the soulless, it's the God of Daniel who captured the lion in the lion's den in those days.
        Looking critically into the present situation of Nigeria,It is so heartbreaking finding  oneself in a country where you talk and no one heard you speak, a situation whereby you scream and no one heard your cry . A country where  political activities is been orchestrated by the cabals of parties that dictates who to vote or who to be voted for at all levels of political position i.e from presidential level to the ward counselor. A country where government rig election at all cost for their own party interest not minding the interest of people they are to govern over. A country where democracy is said to be practiced but the citizens do not have the chance to choose who they want in position due to the selfish interest of the leaders who fight for their pockets only.
        Furthermore, the rate of unemployment  increases everyday and youths do not stop graduating from institution. Although nobody was opportune to know the criteria in choosing the N-power jobbers which is certainly not a permanent job  and who knows if the names of those people selected were not submitted by the controlling power in the nation. Many times we've heard about governors, senators and even ministers who do not have qualified certificate after being elected into such post to rule over highly educated people roaming about in search of Jobs. Do you even know that admission into tertiary institution is another sorry case where influence and affluence is used in gaining admission,then where do the hope of the less privilege lie?
         Moreover, half payment of monthly salaries is no more a new story in this so called country where #18,000 is been approved for minimum wage and yet many states still pay lesser than this and nobody dares challenge any of the government whereas their wives go to the market with the same amount or higher amount than someone else' monthly allowance, though it is usually said that fingers are not equal but this situation is as a result of unequal distribution of wealth. Also talking about the retirees who have served graciously the nation and are still been denied of their entitlement, where would they get the money to feed and maintain themselves.
         What of the the prodigious amount spent on elections and ceremonies going to the extent of spending millions of Naira where many Nigerians can't even ascertain three square meal in a day.
        A country of distress where innocent people are been killed everyday.
       With all these, to the voiceless who will thereby fight for their course, or else God of Daniel.
